Hi, I’m Kandis
My children (now adults) grew up in 4H. We raised cattle, sheep, pigs, goats had rabbits chickens and turkeys. Of course we still have horses. I was a project leader for the horse group. Every part of 4H was great! Until…we were going on vacation. With all of these animal it was tough to find the “one” person who would be able to come over and care for all of them just as we do. Our dog always traveled with us. I would end up hauling horses to Descanso and Lakeside, cattle to Campo…on and on until I knew everyone was safe and cared for while we were away. This would cause such stress on me! Our pets are family and I needed them to be safe and sound for me to enjoy my time away.
Once my kids were older and into sports..I knew I could be this one person to care for ALL of these animals for other people wanting to take time away from home. I imagined animal owners talking with friends, them saying we can never go out of town, we have all of these animals…Kandis Can Feed was created! Wow how this business has grown! I found there is such a need for a trusting, reliable pet sitter who could care for small AND large animals.

Early on
I would travel anywhere to work for a family. I understand the importance of our pets and needing someone reliable and committed to pets and owners. Kandis Can Feed begin to grow by word of mouth. It is amazing what this has grown into.
Current
Majority of my clients are repeat clients. I work for them often. I love that I am trusted by them to care for their pets. Majority of my clients are in Alpine and surrounding areas. It is wonderful to make my rounds in the morning and evenings feeding for families in my own town. We have grown as a business and I have my kids Kora and Joseph involved as well as Lisa. All of us have raised pets, know the importance of schedules for feedings, following directions just as clients ask and being reliable. We are great at communications always sending visit up dates. We love what we do. We treat everyones pet like our own. It is pretty cool.
